The homecoming parade was an incredible triumph! Volleyball Recap: Wells Leopards vs. Carlin Railroaders By Team Reports Sep 30, 2024 Wells was the 3-1 winner over Carlin when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Wells Leopards fell 3-1 to the Carlin Railroaders on Thursday. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 16-25, 25-19, 25-12. Wells has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Carlin, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6. On Friday, Sep 27, 2024, the Wells Varsity Girls Volleyball team won their match against Jackpot High School by a score of 3-1.

Last night, our cheer squad hosted an entertaining JELL-O fight, marking an exciting kickoff to the many activities planned for our homecoming festivities this week.

We are thrilled to announce that three of our students have achieved remarkable success in the 2024 Elko County Fair Carcass Contest. Khloe placed first for goats, Stacia clinched the top spot for sheep, and Aron achieved second place for his sheep carcass. Congratulations!

On Thursday, Sep 26, 2024, the varsity boys football team lost their game against Carlin High School by a score of 28-50. Football Recap: Wells Leopards vs. Carlin Railroaders By Team Reports On Thursday, Wells faced Carlin in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Wells Leopards came up short against the Carlin Railroaders, falling 50-28. The Leopards have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games. It was another big night for Dylan Ramirez, who rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries for Carlin. Ramirez also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up two sacks and making nine total tackles. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Gage Lewis, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown. Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Carlin, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Wells will look to defend their home field on Friday against Coleville at 11:00 a.m.

Our cross country team participated in the Bob Firman Invitational Cross Country race in Boise, Idaho last weekend. A total of 5,010 athletes from 7 states and 166 high schools competed in various race categories. Our athletes competed in Varsity Division II.
