Volleyball Recap: Wells Comes Up Short
Volleyball Recap: Wells Leopards vs. Carlin Railroaders
Wells was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Carlin Railroaders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Leopards of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Carlin scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 22-25, 25-19, 25-18.
Carlin found their leader in underclassman Emily Wall, who had 18 digs.
Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Carlin, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season.
Wells will square off against Pyramid Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Carlin and McDermitt will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

WELLS — For the Wells football team, the last-two games could not have been more polar-opposite.
On Oct. 11, the Leopards earned their second-consecutive victory and third on the season in a 46-0 home blowout of Owyhee.

Against the Braves, the Leopards enforced the running clock before halftime — scoring 16 points in the first quarter and 22 in the second — building a 38-0 lead by the break.
The Leopards capped their scoring spree with eight points in the third quarter.

Sophomore Johnny Glascock carried three times for 75 yards and scored two touchdowns and caught a 15-yard pass.

Junior Cade Cromley posted a six-yard catch, and freshman Justice Nelson closed out the offense with a two-yard reception.
Defensively, the Leopards forced six turnovers — recovering four fumbles and picking off two passes.
Uhlig led Wells with eight tackles, Berumen booked six stops, Hall closed with five stuffs and Joe Dahl finished with four.
The Leopards gained three stops apiece from Johnny Glascock, Nelson and freshman Cade Sampson, and Max Dahl and Martinez each posted two tackles.
