Students in 5th-12th grade will be taking the Nevada SCSEL Climate Survey on November 28th.
The survey is completely optional and parents can opt their child out if they choose. Additionally, students have the option of not taking the survey or skipping any questions they don't want to answer.

AOT competed in Jackpot on Wednesday, November 15th. They won the competition with a score of 12. They competed against Spring Creek Christian Academy who scored a 9 and Jackpot High School with a score of 6. AOT will compete in Wells on Monday 20 November 2023 in the high school auditorium at 1 pm.

Four of our FFA members qualified to compete at the Western National Rangeland Assessment CDE in Ritzville, Washington on November 13-14, 2023.
The team received 8th place overall.
Ian L. received Top Rangeland Skills and was the 3rd High Individual.

GBC CTE Open House: Happening Tomorrow!


Last Friday our Drama Club and Music Department went to The Hale Center Theatre in Sandy, Utah to watch the play Elf: The Musical. They also took a backstage tour and learned a lot about the ins and outs of the production.




Our Academic Olympics Team competed at their first meet of the season in Wells yesterday against Spring Creek and Jackpot. They came away with the victory!
They will compete in Jackpot on Wednesday, November 15th. Excellent work AOT!

The Nevada School Climate/Social Emotional Learning Survey (NV-SCSEL) is used to gather student feedback about their experiences at school. The NV-SCSEL surveys are administered to students in grade 5 and up throughout the state of Nevada during the fall of each school year.
The NV-SCSEL surveys measure students’ perceptions of key aspects of school climate, including physical and emotional safety, relationships, and cultural and linguistic competence, as well as students’ social and emotional competencies.
The survey is an opportunity for students to anonymously share their experiences of their school’s climate with their school, school district, and NDE. To learn more about the survey, visit nevadaschoolclimate.org.
Elko County School District will be administering the survey to students (5th -12th grade) between November 20th and December 14th , 2023.

The Conduct of Chapter Meetings LDE team competed at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis last week. They received a silver medal. We are proud of this young FFA team for representing Nevada and our FFA chapter! Well done!
