Senior Walk @ the elementary
The students at Wells Elementary were fortunate to receive informative safety presentations from Wells Rural Electric Company and the Fire Department. We are grateful for their time and effort in educating our students on the importance of safety with fire and electricity!
The Wells Jr/Sr High School's annual awards ceremony on Friday, May 31st was a grand celebration of academic excellence and student achievements. The event showcased numerous students who were honored with academic awards and received special recognition from their teachers.
Our elementary students recently completed their MAPS testing. The students were challenged to improve their test scores with the incentive of being able to tape Mr. Woolsey & Mrs. Barger to the wall! Each student could earn one or two pieces of tape, depending on how they improved. All students earned at least one piece with many receiving two!!
It took 6.4 pounds of tape to hold them to the wall, but they both held for a few seconds!! It was a huge success and the students were thrilled to see them stuck to the wall!
At Wells Combined School, we are proud to have a highly dedicated staff. We would like to express our gratitude and extend our congratulations on their retirement to Lisa Robinson and Robert Johnson.
Lisa has worked for the ECSD for 9 years. She had previously worked in Washoe County for 4 years and taught in South Dakota and Texas.
Thank you Lisa for your many years of dedication to our students!
Robert Johnson has been employed with ECSD since 1997. He has made a significant impact on many students over the years. Thank you, Robert, for all your years of hard work, dedication to Wells Combined School, and countless hours of effort!
Wishing both of you the best of luck as you retire from ECSD!
On Saturday, June 1st, Wells hosted its first Junior High Co-Ed Golf Tournament at Chimney Rock Municipal Golf Course. Golfers from Wendover, White Pine, and our Wells Leopards participated. We are looking for wagon/cart donations for our kids who must carry their summer meal boxes home. We have several kids who walk to the elementary school to pick up the summer food boxes, which are very heavy. A wagon would be very helpful in the summer heat!
