Bob, Tina, and Ricardo are putting in a tremendous effort to uproot and clear the sod from the area behind the school. This is all in preparation for installing a beautiful gazebo, providing a serene spot for students to enjoy and relax. The removed sod is being repurposed to improve the quality and aesthetics of the football field, ensuring that it's in top condition for our football team in the upcoming fall season.

ELKO — As seniors are graduating from Elko County schools this week, the district’s Board of Trustees honored the top students from each school on Tuesday.
“It was awesome to recognize those wonderful top students and achievers,” Elko County School District Superintendent Clayton Anderson told the board on Tuesday.
He said in an email on Wednesday the top students were determined based on the highest cumulative grade-point average in their graduating class.
Graduating seniors with the highest GPA also include Kira Boner, who graduates from Wells High School.
ECSD’s board president, Matt McCarty, said on Wednesday that “I love being able to celebrate achievement,” and “what’s great about having a district as widespread as we are, is that in each of those schools achievement looks different.
“Some of our top graduates may have had well over a 4.0 GPA and others of our top graduates may not have had anything close to a 4.0, but yet each of them in their respective areas all excelled,” McCarty said.
The individual GPAs for the top students weren’t announced at the board meeting, and one reason for the large variation is that some students take college classes in high school that brings the GPA above the 4.0, which means all A’s.
CONGRATULATIONS Kira! We are proud of you!
A BACK TO SCHOOL immunization clinic will be on August 9th from 12-4 pm @ 1780 Browning Way, Elko, Nevada.

He won the second round with a 69-point ride, topped the short go with a mark of 62 and ranked second in the first round with a 65-point effort.
In the bull riding, Morrison mounted 299 points on the season — 194 prior to state — and led second place by 209 points.
He knocked down his second average win with a three-bull tally of 228 points.
