POCATELLO, Idaho — At the Bob Conley Invitational, the Wells cross country program gained a pair of strong performances from its varsity boys.
On Thursday, junior Isaac Gale crossed the finish line 18th in the varsity boys race with a time of 17:43.
Senior teammate Cameron Livingstone also posted a sub-18 time of 17:59.8 and placed 26th.
As a team, the Leopards took 14th in the Varsity Boys “B” standings with 339 points.
In 68th, junior Mason Noorda tallied a time of 18:59.5.
Junior Marcos Cobian closed his run in 20:39.8 for 119th.
Freshman Weston Sorensen crossed 136th with a time of 21:25.2, and sophomore Jayden Kiser ranked 144th in 22:10.4.
Senior Carson Ballard capped Wells’ roster with a time of 23:33.6 in 161st place.
Varsity Girls “B”
In the Varsity Girls “B” division, Wells rounded off the 18-team field with 462 points.
In 67th, freshman Maggie Neff led the Lady Leopards with a time of 23:53.
Fellow freshman Natalie Dahl crossed in 27:37.8 for 116th, freshman Reese Livingston finished her run 26:46.5 at 120th and junior Marli Dahl closed her race in 27:14.4 for 122nd.
Freshman Brynli Dahl closed out Wells’ roster in 133rd with a time of 29:47.2.
JV Girls 26:01 or More
In the JV girls 26:01 or more class, Jackpot junior Karina Lucero topped the Elko County athletes with a time of 28:26.7 for 76th place.
Carlin senior Jaden Loftin took 86th with a time of 28:51.8.
The Lady Jags crossed two in a three-girl span as senior Jocelyn Cervantes finished in 29:38.4 and capped the top 100 and senior Eunice Dominguez followed in 29:40.8 at 102nd.
For the Lady Railroaders, freshman Savanna Hughes closed out the local field in 159th with a time of 36:18.7.
JV Boys 26:01 or More
In the JV Boys 26:01 or more class, Jackpot senior Angel Martinez led Elko County’s athletes with a time of 22:33.4 in 77th place.
Sophomore teammate Kevin Jack took 167th with a time of 26:28.4.
For Carlin, sophomore Wyatt Kamensky crossed in 26:40 for 172nd.
Freshman teammate Jhon Vicente ran 190th with a time of 30:34.9, and junior Landon Boltin rounded off the local field in 195th with a time of 38:48.2.
