Wells High School Cross Country team raced at Magic Mountain

KIMBERLY, Idaho — During the Magic Mountain Invitational, both the Wells boys and girls cross country programs ranked top-five.

Varsity Boys

In the team standings, the Leopards tallied 137 points for fifth place.

Jackpot finished eighth with 195, and West Wendover capped the nine-team field with a collective score of 225 points.

Individually, Jackpot senior Jorge Avila Fragoza constructed the best race of the local boys with a 10th-place time of 21:49.4.

Wells pushed the next three locals across the line.

Sophomore Isaac Gale placed 16th in 22:20.1, sophomore Mason Noorda ran a 22:31.5 for 18th place and the 22:42.8 for junior Cameron Livingstone ranked 21st.

In 25th, West Wendover senior Angel Trujillo finished in 23:14.4.

Jackpot senior Alfredo Aguilar posted a time of 24:00.1 for 34th.

For the Leopards, senior Christopher Burcham ran 49th in 25:16.5.
