WELLS — After opening 1A North play with a road sweep of Coleville, the Wells baseball team has kept its hammer down.

The Leopards leaped to 8-0 in league play with three more sweeps, defeating Excel Christian, Pyramid Lake and Eureka twice apiece.

Versus Excel Christian

On March 16, Wells blew out the Warriors 20-10 in the first ballgame and overcame a 10-1 deficit — finishing the game on a 11-1 burst en route to a 12-11 victory in the finale.
