WELLS — Like the baseball team, the Wells softball program has yet to taste defeat in league play.
The Lady Leopards — after sweeping Coleville in their league openers — improved to 8-0 in the 1A North with sweeps of Whittell, SSARROP and Pyramid Lake.
Versus Whittell
On March 15, Wells beat the Lady Warriors 16-1 in four innings due to the 15-run rule — claiming the second contest by forfeit.

Versus Sierra Sage Academy/Rite of Passage
The next day — March 16 — the Lady Leopards dismantled SSAROP by identical scores of 17-0 — claiming each ballgame in three innings.
In the first game, freshman Aryanna Rodriguez had the performance of a lifetime — throwing a no-hitter on the mound and going for the extra-base hit trifecta with a double, a triple and a home run at the plate.
In the second game — freshman Khloe DelRio, Otto and Rodriguez combined for a no-hitter.
