Tegan Remington
Freshman Tegan Remington ranked fourth in the 126-pound class, finishing 4-2 with three wins by fall.
She opened with a 2:23 pin of Elko freshman Trinity Taylor but lost her second match by fall at the 1:11 mark of the quarterfinal to South Tahoe’s Sydney Birkholm.
In the consolation bracket, Remington rebounded with three straight wins — pinning Elko sophomore Alycianna Nunez in 50 seconds, beating Douglas’ Monique Alloway by fall at the 2:16 mark and shutting out White Pine’s Callie Hollingsworth by a 6-0 decision.
In the third-fourth match, Remington was pinned in 56 seconds by Reed’s Randee Bouteiller.
