WELLS — Through six games, the Wells boys basketball team’s record is even in league play.
The Leopards have finished out the first-half of the 1A East slate with a 3-3 record.
On Jan. 6, Wells narrowly claimed its league opener with a 40-36 road victory over McDermitt.
The Leopards followed with a pair of home losses, dropping a 70-11 blowout by 59 points to Eureka, on Jan. 12, and giving up the same amount of points in a 16-point, 70-54 defeat to Lund, on Jan. 13.
From two losses, Wells responded with consecutive road victories — beating the Jaguars 37-32 on Jan. 16, in Jackpot, and also edging the Railroaders 34-27 on Thursday, in Carlin.
But, the Leopards fell to 3-3 in league play with a 72-50 home loss to Owyhee, on Friday, in Wells.
