Carlin Combined Schools is preparing for the annual administration of the Nevada state-required Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBAC). Grades 3rd-8th & 10th grade will take the assessments the week of April 14-17, 2025. A few reminders: Make sure your child gets plenty of sleep the night before each test and has a healthy breakfast. Encourage your child to do their very best. Remind your child that it is against state testing rules to have phones during testing. We appreciate your partnership in helping Carlin Combined Schools fulfill the state requirement for end-of-year assessments and supporting your child to do their best. From Coach JJ: I can’t express how proud I am of these young ladies. They worked so hard fundraising and practicing to go do something most have never experienced or know almost nothing about. The competitive world of cheer is insane, and they got to experience it! We won first place, and even though we didn’t execute everything flawlessly, there was no giving up and they’re already talking about how to do better for next time! Never settle, always strive for better! Thank you to everyone who truly supported these ladies stepping out of their comfort zone and performing in front of hundreds of people! Thank you, Andrea Andrews for being the best assistant coach ever!!!!!! And I got to see one of my former amazing cheerleaders/babysitters :-) :-) thank you Catherine Chand for taking the videos!!!
